Las Vegas is the most populated city in Nevada and is internationally known as a hotspot for gambling, shopping, dining, and shows.  Las Vegas calls itself “The Entertainment Capital of the World” for good reason.  It became a city in 1911 and because of its acceptance of adult entertainment quickly became known as “Sin City”.  Las Vegas has a desert climate, which provides year round sun, with an average of 300 sunny days per year.

The Las Vegas Strip is well known for its bright lights and huge casinos.  There are many shopping and dining spots that line and give flavor to the Strip.  RTC transit provides double decker bus service along the strip, to get from place to place.  There is also a tourist trolley that travels the Strip for $3 for a one way fare, stopping at many hotels, along with stopping at the Fashion Show Mall.  There are several free trams that operate along the west side of the Strip, most going between different hotels/casinos.  Additionally The Las Vegas Monorail runs on the east side of the Strip.  Recently, several of the hotels that line the Strip redesigned their entrances to encourage pedestrian traffic.  Several of the newer casinos entrances have turned into attractions, causing spectators to gather on sidewalks to watch the shows.

Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is a huge, steep-sided gorge in Arizona.  It is within Grand Canyon National Park, which was one of the first national parks in the United States.  The beauty of the rock formations is staggering along with the excessive desert wildlife.  The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long and ranges from 4 to 18 miles in width.  It is one of the worlds prime natural attractions and brings about five million visitors per year.  Many activities are available to tourists including: whitewater rafting, hiking, running and helicopter tours.  Camping is available in certain areas, but there are also many hotels to choose from in the area.   There are many other tourist attractions in the area.  It is a great place for a family vacation.  Check out our affiliates web sites to find great travel deals to this amazing destination.        Back to top


St Louis

St. Louis, MO is a wonderful city originally nicknamed the “Gateway to the West” for its role in the westward expansion of the United States.  The name of St. Louis’ iconic image, the Gateway Arch, came from this early nickname.  The Arch itself stands 630 feet tall and is 630 feet wide at its base, making it the tallest monument in the United States.  In addition to this amazing monument, St. Louis also boasts many museums and attractions.  The City Museum bills itself as an “eclectic mixture of children’s playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel”.  It consists largely of repurposed architectural and industrial objects, and visitors are encouraged to touch, climb on, and play in the various exhibits.  The St. Louis Art Museum is full of everything from modern art to ancient artifacts.  It also houses an extensive collection of master works, some by Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Picasso.  St. Louis is also known for the impressive St. Louis Zoo, located in the same park as the St. Louis Art Museum.  There are many hotels located in the various section of this great city.  Check out our affiliates web sites to find great travels deals to this interesting destination.        Back to top


Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park was the first national park in existence.  About 96 percent of the park is located in Wyoming, branching out a little into Montana and Idaho.  It is best known for being the home of Old Faithful Geyser, which erupts every 91 minutes.  There are 300 geysers within Yellowstone National Park!  One of the most popular national parks in the US, almost 2 million tourists visit the park per year.  There are 2,238 hotel rooms and cabins available within the park at nine different hotels and lodges.  There is no public transportation within Yellowstone, but private tour companies offer motorized transport.  During winter there are also guided snowmobile and snow coach tours.  There are 9 visitor centers and museums, as well as 2,000 other buildings many of which are historical landmarks.  Camping is available throughout the park, with plenty of fishing and hiking for all.  Check out the amazing deals to this adventure through our Compare and Save page.        Back to top
